Ford Otosan Advances Financial Integration: A New Era in the Automotive Value Chain with the Acquisition of Koçfinans
Leading automotive manufacturer Ford Otosan has taken another strategic step as the global
automotive industry evolves from traditional vehicle manufacturing toward integrated mobility
ecosystems that include financing, insurance, and services. Ford Otosan has signed a share
purchase agreement to acquire 100% of Koç Finansman A.Ş. (Koçfinans), the largest retail
financing partner of the Ford and Ford Trucks brands.
Beyond the ongoing technological transformation in the automotive sector, the customer
experience is increasingly shaped by integrated financing and insurance solutions. In line with this
transformation, Ford Otosan will acquire the shares of Koçfinans currently owned by Koç Holding
(50%), Arçelik (47%), and Zer (3%) for approximately USD 137 million.
Through this strategic investment, Ford Otosan aims to create a more integrated mobility
ecosystem by bringing financing capabilities into its organization and strengthening the
automotive value chain — from vehicle sales and after-sales services to used vehicle trading and
insurance solutions.
Strengthening Integration in Sales Financing
Koçfinans has been Ford Otosan’s retail financing partner in Türkiye for many years and plays a
key role in supporting vehicle sales through financing solutions. With its pioneering position in the
financing sector, technological infrastructure, advanced data analytics capabilities, and a
balance sheet of over TRY 50 billion, the company is now joining Ford Otosan. This expertise,
shaped by the company’s customer focus and digital and data-driven capabilities, is being
integrated into Ford Otosan’s ecosystem to elevate the customer experience to the highest level.
Through this inclusion of Koçfinans within Ford Otosan, customers will benefit from faster access
to financing, a more integrated vehicle purchasing journey, and easier access to mobility services.
The acquisition is expected to further enhance the end-to-end mobility experience, spanning from
vehicle purchase to financing and insurance solutions.

New Growth Areas and Business Opportunities
Koçfinans provides financing services not only for Ford vehicles but also for several other
automotive brands. Ford accounts for approximately 60% of Koçfinans’ portfolio, while the
remaining 40% consists of financing provided to other automotive brands. Following the
acquisition, Ford Otosan plans to maintain this diversified customer portfolio while continuing
financing activities.
The acquisition is expected to unlock new growth opportunities across Ford Otosan’s entire
product portfolio, from passenger cars to light and heavy commercial vehicles. Expanding
financing solutions—particularly in the used vehicle, commercial vehicle, and truck segments—
will play a key role in supporting Ford Otosan’s growth strategy and enhancing customer access
to the Ford and Ford Trucks brands.
